- Acute Traumas - Open wounds, recent bruising, muscle tears, sprained ligaments, contusions, chilblains, burns
- Infectious skin disease, Bacterial infection, Lymphangitis, Fungal infection, Viral infections, Herpes
- Fractures.
- Joint dislocation.
- Immediately post-surgery.
- Immediately post chemotherapy or radiation - unless referred by G.P.
- Osteoporosis - G.P. consent required.
- Myositis ossifican.
- Deep-vein thrombosis.
- Varicose veins (locally)
- Melanoma.
- Tumour.
- Other cancers - G.P. consent required.
- Haemophilia - G.P. consent required.
- Diabetes - although not an actual contraindication massage can be provided after discussion and possible G.P. consent.
- If you are at the infectious stage of any virus.
- A body temperature over 100°F, or feeling unwell
