Precautions and Contraindications
Please note restriction may apply for some medical conditions.
- Acute soft tissue inflammation.
- Open wounds.
- Infectious skin disease and rash.
- Fractures.
- Joint dislocation.
- Immediately post surgery.
- Immediately post chemotherapy or radiation - unless referred by G.P.
- Osteoporosis - G.P. consent required.
- Myositis ossifican.
- Deep-vein thrombosis.
- Varicose veins (locally)
- Melanoma.
- Tumour.
- Other cancers - G.P. consent required.
- Haemophilia - G.P. consent required.
- Diabetes - although not an actual contraindication massage can be provided after discussion and possible G.P. consent.
- If you are at the infectious stage of any virus.
